PRF, or Platelet Rich Fibrin, is an all-natural solution that can restore hair and treat areas in the face that show the signs of aging, such as hollow under-eyes, deflated cheeks, and the scalp.
When harvested, PRF contains platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells, facilitating wound healing, collagen production, and improved elasticity. The PRF consists mainly of white blood cells, fibrin, and a small number of stem cells found in our bloodstream. The PRF becomes a gel after 15 to 20 minutes of being isolated and immediately after being injected into the face or scalp. This allows the PRF to be used for cosmetic use and hair restoration.

How do PRF treatments work?
PRF is derived from your own blood. A vial of blood is drawn prior to treatment. A centrifuge is then used to separate PRF from other blood components. Using a syringe, the PRF is collected from the top of the vial. The PRF is then combined with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to enhance facial volume.

Most people are good candidates for PRF treatments, depending on their specific concerns. This is a great option for clients with spots of concern that do not extend to the rest of the face.
Are there any tips to follow before injections?
The most important thing is to avoid any medications that thin your blood or increase your risk of bruising. Please avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for 7 days before injections. Also, remember to give yourself two weeks before a special event or vacation in case you do have any bruising.
