What are Botox and Dysport, and how do they differ?
Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators that are used to treat and prevent wrinkles, fine lines, and deep facial wrinkles. Botox and Dysport are very similar – same price, same duration, but Dysport takes effect faster.
When will botox/Dysport start working?
Botox and Dysport will start working typically between 2-5 days and will continue to improve over the 14 days following the injections. At two weeks, that will be the maximum effect of the Botox or Dysport. If an area needs any touch-up, this is the time to come back in for a follow-up.
How long do Botox or Dysport injections last?
The effects of Botox/Dysport last about three to four months. Individual results may vary. You will start to have some movement slowly return starting around 2 1/2 months or so. The full movement will gradually continue to return until the Botox or Dysport is worn off and you are back to your baseline.
Will I have any downtime after Botox or Dysport injections?
Botox and Dysport require little to no downtime. and you can return to work or your daily activities right away. Just avoid intense exercise for 24 hours and any pressure on your face after injections. This helps make sure the medication doesn’t spread to an unwanted area and also doesn’t increase any bruising that you might have

That depends on the type of wrinkles you’d like to treat, your aesthetic goals, the degree of muscle movement in your face, and the number of times you’ve had Botox or Dysport in the past. Your dose will be customized just for you.
Are there any tips to follow before injections?
The most important thing is to avoid any medications that thin your blood or increase your risk of bruising. Please avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for 7 days before injections. Also, remember to give yourself two weeks before a special event or vacation in case you do have any bruising.
